Zhangzhou: Advertising

So for the past week or so I’ve been working with Photoshop to produce a flyer for our Summer Intensive course (basically 3/4 lessons a week for 3/4 weeks). Photoshop has been quite difficult to get to grips with, but I think I’ve learned in the best possible way, by doing. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve corrected them and I now understand layers a lot more! I even know a bit more about pixels, to measure things and also make documents sharper. I’m sure there’s a lot more I can learn, but for now, I know what I need.

Well, my hard work has come to fruition as the flyers have arrived! The only bad thing about them is that my face is on there, but that’s a minor detail. Phil wanted to make a flyer like a sales letter, so basically all the writing is us saying why you should come to Aston, in the first person. Phil wanted something different, so we’re going to try this and see how it works. I’m also labelled as an adult English expert, ho hum. The back of the flyers look stunning too. You’ve no idea how long it took me to make that logo look good. I’d imported it from a white background and it took forever….

Anyway, here are the flyers; I know you’re dying to see them:
