What has Bennett been up to?

In which I give you the lowdown on my recent movements

So recently, after 18 months away, I made a surprise visit to the UK. There were three lovely people who I flew back especially for, but as it was a secret from one of them I decided to make it a surprise for everyone. My family didn’t have a clue I was returning!

With round trip flights of 22,000 miles (36,000km), I zoomed around the UK for two weeks, visiting Dorset, Swindon, Newcastle, Glasgow and London.

Now, back in New Zealand, I said goodbye to the North Island for the time being:

have added a further 970 miles (1,550km) to my flights for the year by flying down to…

An amazing flight doing an "s" curve around the mountains to land!

It’s truly horrible here.

Gorgeous weather so far!

And I’ve indulged in a Fergburger to celebrate my first night.

Let’s see what happens next.

Have you been to Queenstown?

I’ve already got a list as long as my legs of things to do, but first priority is a job!

  1. Wow what a whirlwind!! I’m sure you’ll love Queenstown – I’ve never been, but everyone I know who’s been there has something positive to say about it!

    • A whirlwind indeed! Loving it so far, even though only been here 3.5 days – plan to stay for 365 though, so fingers crossed! (even though it’ll be winter soon enough!)

  2. Great to hear you’ve made it down south!! Queenstown is a great place to be in the summer but make sure you head over to Lake Wanaka too. Our favourite activities have been kayaking on Lake Wanaka, Zip Lining with Ziptrek in Queenstown and flying from Queenstown to the Milford Sound with the Helicopter Line!

Hope you have as much fun as we did!

    • Aw, thanks Charli! I have a list as long as my arm of things to do here. But planning to stay a year with my working hol visa, so we’ll see how it goes. Top of my list is seeing wild penguins and a skydive – I will NOT leave NZ until I have done these things 😉
