Long Exposure Fun – Bihu Park

In which Darren and I play with long exposure in Bihu Park

On one of the many evening outings with Darren (he called it a date, whereas I tried to impress upon him the difference of that word in England!) we ventured over to my regular haunt, Bihu Park, of Kissing Statue fame. It was dark so we had fun cycling around the park and I’d also brought my camera and tripod in the hope of getting some good night shots. I did mess around with them; there were some interesting “faeries” shall we call them?

They were dotted around, and I got some nice reflection shots across the water back to Zhangzhou centre. Bihu park

However, a small suggestion from Darren quickly turned into something amazing.

Darren: “Why don’t we do some writing in the air with my iPhone?”

Me: “You know what, with my tripod and long exposure, I think we can do that!”

So, we made it so. Such a giggle creating these shapes in the air. Turns out Darren is a dab hand at writing English backwards, and I am a poor drawer, so I was in charge of setting the camera up.

Ok, so we’re not pros and nor is my camera, but we’re really happy at how these turned out, take a look and see what you think:  Bihu park

What do you think of our long exposure efforts?
