Edinburgh is Exotic – Photo Gallery

In which Edinburgh is exotic

Exotic is different to what you know. Therefore exotic is all over the world.

The above quote was said by me, on a recent Twitter chat in answer to the question “Where are exotic locations?”

I’d also had a chat with JR from The Drifter’s Blog about this, on the post 3 random reasons as to why I want to go to Edinburgh. Here, JR talks about the fact that Edinburgh is exotic because it’s nothing like he knows, coming from the state of Hawaii – JR, I don’t think you could get any more different! Obviously, I’ve been to Edinburgh, but the opposite is the same for me, I’d love to go to Hawaii. Further comments on the above post talked about British castles, as they are also seen by people from the other side of the world as an exotic destination!

This inspired me to do a short photo gallery on Edinburgh, castles from the North East and York Minster (cathedral), to satisfy JR and his Hawaiian friends for a little while I hope!

Enjoy the Britishness of the following pictures!

Where do you think is exotic in the world?

  1. Thanks for the mention, Sarah…I loved it! This post and those pictures give me even more reasons to go there. And yes, just look at all of those EXOTIC Scottish buildings. Haha.

  2. My Mum is heading up to Edinburgh for the weekend! I just wrote about it actually, and was wondering about what there is to see there these days (she lived there 27 years ago!), so glad I’ve stumbled across this! Nice shots!

    • I haven’t been in years, but obviously you can see why I did it! Miss home a little right now so it was a good little reminder of the UK!
